Minimum Stays
Please note that there is a minimum stay requirement which is shown in the main price list. Where minimum stays are allowed, the nightly price is shown. From Whit week in May until the end of September, the chalets must be booked weekly running from Saturday to Saturday and a minimum 7 nights stay applies.
Chalet Prices and Number of Guests
The nightly or weekly chalet price is based on 4 people per chalet. This can be any combination of adults and children. Children are from babies - 16 years. Chalets 17 and 9 have a sofabed in the lounge and can accommodate an additional child. Please call to discuss. We do not accept more than the maximum number of people for any chalet.
Weekly Discounted Rates and 14 night Stays
Weekly discounts are available on some weeks. The discount shown and weekly rate is based on booking 7 consecutive nights. These nights do not have to run from Saturday to Saturday. Please call 07412 061985 if you need help.
Linen and Towels
Prices INCLUDE linen and towels for the 2022 season.
Dogs
Not all chalets accept dogs. Please call us if you would like to bring your furry companion on holiday. Tel 07412 061985.
Payments, Deposits and Cancellations Terms and Conditions
Arrival and Departures
Arrival and departure times must be strictly adhered to. We have these times because we have multiple changeovers on the same day - so we have lots of chalets to clean and get ready! Please do not arrive before 4pm. You can call on 07412 061985 to check the status of your chalet.
Smoking - Please read carefully
We do not under any circumstances allow smoking in the chalets. We offer family holidays and do not want our chalets and furniture to smell of smoke. You can however smoke outside. Please respect the other people using the chalets during the year. Any breach of the smoking conditions will result in you being asked to leave immediately. We also reserve the right to charge you £100 for a deep clean of the chalet.
Parking
There is one parking space per chalet. Let us know if you are bringing more cars. Although there are numbered spaces at Norton Park, you can park in any bay close to the chalet. If you do have a problem with someone telling you that you can't park in a numbered bay, please call us on 0791 9191 481 or 07412 061985 or refer the person making the complaint to us by telephone.
Damage
We know that no one intends to cause damage. The rental of the holiday accommodation is offered at an agreed price and this price is for use of the chalet for the given period. If you cause damage to a chalet, whether that is to items within the chalet, furniture, or fixed parts of the chalet structure, we reserve the right to charge you for that damage. By agreeing to the terms of rental, you will also be agreeing that we can charge your card in the event that damage occurs. "Damage" is not wear and tear. Damage is an identifiable cost to repair or replace an item or part of the chalet that has occurred by the actions of the visitor. We hope that this never happens and it has been a very rare occurrence over the past 5 years!
Chalet General Terms and Conditions
Cleaning
The Chalet is cleaned and prepared for your arrival and is presented in a clean and tidy manner. We ask you to leave the chalet in a clean and tidy state when you leave. We do not expect you to have cleaned the chalet from top to toe as we have cleaners on turnaround days! However, if additional cleaning is required due to the state of the chalet, then we do reserve the option to charge you £50 for additional cleaning. To put it in perspective, this has only happened once in the last 3 years.
Bicycles, Waterports and Other Equipment
Bicycles, paddleboards, canoes, dinghy's or any outdoor items are not under any circumstances to be placed in the property.
Electricity
The chalets have coin meters that take £1 and £2 coins - except chalet 9 which just takes £1 coins. A typical weekly budget is about £10.00 but bear in mind it is dependant on how many people there are in the chalet and the time of year. Chalets 17 and 9 have electric central heating. Expect to pay more in the colder months.
In the event of a breach of any of the foregoing conditions, the applicants shall, if the management requests, vacate the bungalow and leave the site without entitlement to compensation and Devon Chalet Holidays shall have no liability to the applicants.
